Meet Maria, a dedicated clinician at Elevate Recovery. Her journey into this field began with a passion for criminal justice and human rights, leading her to pursue a Master’s degree in Psychology. Maria’s expertise lies in supporting individuals grappling with addiction and Mental Health within the criminal justice system. Maria’s decision to focus on addiction and Mental Health stemmed from a profound need for support she observed within her own community. Drawing from her experiences, Maria employs a combination of gratitude, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy , and motivational interviewing techniques to empower those in need. Maria remains just as dedicated to her work as when she first started, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves.
